The Incredibly Offensive Michael Thomas Ford

By “offensive,” I’m not referring to Ford’s latest novel, Changing Tides.  I thought Changing Tides was an excellent, page-turning read.  I loved the gentle, quiet pace (which probably says a lot about where I am, or am trying to be, in my life) and I recommend this book wholeheartedly.  There’s not much more I can say about it, other than what the five- and four-star reviews on Amazon have already stated, except to comment that readers who expect the same book over and over again from an author should read someone else.  I’ve read his novels Full Circle and Looking For It and a quality I admire about Ford is his ability to write different but equally enjoyable books.

Mike and I have emailed several times over the last three years, qualifying us as e-friends.  I don’t find him offensive, but I’m not a billion-dollar enterprise (yet).   MySpace, however, disagrees.  Twice now they’ve warned him about his offensive postings.  Personally?  I don’t see it, but I report, you decide.  Click here to see what I’m talking about.
